A security guard was beaten to death by “several” people outside a Hollywood nightclub early Sunday morning, Los Angeles police said.
The violence unfolded around 2 a.m. at the popular Dragonfly Hollywood when some type of fight broke out, and a group of people confronted the security guard.
The victim, identified only as a man in his 30s, was “physically assaulted” before he died, a spokesperson in the LAPD Media Relations division told Urban Hollywood 411.
During a media briefing outside the club, police told reporters the attack was brutal.

UFO Whistleblower Claims Massive Coverup, Retribution In Sworn Testimony

A decorated intelligence official and Air Force veteran turned UFO whistleblower on Wednesday provided the most pointed public testimony ever given to Congress about claims that ‘non-human intelligence’ has visited the Earth and left behind craft and bodies, and the government has covered it up for nearly a century.
David Grusch, who served with the now-shuttered Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) Task Force (UAPTF), testified under oath before a House Oversight Committee’s subcommittee that he has evidence there is a cabal of people inside and outside the government involved in ongoing programs dealing with non-human craft and lifeforms. Those beings have visited the Earth, he said, and the cover-up has been going on since the 1930s.
He testified that the U.S. government possesses multiple alien craft and the remains of their crew; that government contractors have “misappropriated” money to fund these ongoing programs and that there have been efforts to silence those who come forward that may have even included murder. In addition, Grusch said the U.S. was working to reverse-engineer alien technology and that people were hurt in the process of attempting to do so. He said he had a list of witnesses, both cooperative and hostile, for future hearings that could provide additional answers through firsthand accounts.

Miami-Dade police chief shot himself in the head after fight with wife at Tampa hotel

Miami-Dade County’s police director was in stable condition after shooting himself in the head on the side of a Florida highway Sunday night following an apparent domestic dispute that forced his departure from a Tampa hotel where he and his wife were attending a law enforcement convention, according to multiple police sources and reports. Alfredo “Freddy” Ramirez, a Democratic candidate for sheriff in the 2024 election, was recovering after surgery at a Tampa hospital, according to an internal Miami-Dade Police email and multiple law enforcement sources.
Ramirez, 52, suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head off I-75 south of Tampa, according to accounts by law enforcement agencies, including the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Tampa police and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. The gunshot happened not long after Ramirez had been involved in what was described as a heated argument with his wife Jody at a Tampa hotel and was asked to leave by hotel staff, the sheriff’s office and other sources said.
Tampa Police, in a statement, said officers had been called to the JW Marriott Water Street because of a report about a man pointing a gun at himself outside the hotel, where a Florida Sheriffs Association conference was being held. They said by the time officers arrived, Ramirez and his wife were back in their 12th floor room and denied he had displayed a weapon or that he intended to harm himself or anyone else. Just hours later, multiple sources told The Herald, Ramirez pulled over on the drive back to Miami and shot himself — a turn of events that shocked people who knew and worked with a highly regarded commander who rose through the ranks during a three-decade career.
Ramirez, a former Republican who joined Democratic Party earlier this year, announced in May he was running in the Democratic primary for sheriff in 2024 to try to retain his role as the county’s top law enforcement official. He was named police director in 2020 under then-Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez.

Man Goes Temporarily Blind While Attempting 100-Hour Crying Marathon

A Nigerian comedian and content creator allegedly lost his sight for about 45 minutes after sobbing for hours in an attempt to cry for 100 hours and set a world record for the longest time crying continuously.
Tembu Daniel, who goes by ‘237_towncryer’ on Instagram, recently lived up to his nickname by attempting a rather unusual world record – crying continuously for 100 hours. The young Nigerian began his cry-athon on July 9, but was forced to suspend his crying only 6 hours later, due to some unforeseen side effects. Apparently, forcing himself to cry for hours non-stop caused Daniel to experience headaches, puffed eyes, and a generally swollen face. However, the most worrying symptom was partial blindness which allegedly lasted for about 45 minutes.
“I had to re-strategize and reduce my wailing,” the online entertainer told the BBC, adding that he didn’t want to let this speed bump stop him from achieving his goal. However, it’s unclear whether he actually completed the 100 hours of continuous crying, as the few clips of the attempt posted on his Instagram show the timer at only 2 hours and 9 minutes, and at 5 hours and 54 minutes, respectively.
The African ‘town crier’ posted a poster of his record attempt on Instagram earlier this month, which featured the Guinness Records. In reality, he never bothered contacting Guinness about his unusual crying marathon, and perhaps it was for the best, as the famous organization actually reacted to his record attempt, clarifying that they wouldn’t have monitored such a record attempt anyway.
A RECREATION of an iconic crop circle that inspired a Led Zeppelin album cover has appeared near the grave of drummer John Bonham.
Nearly 33 years since the famous Eastfield Pictogram first appeared in Alton Barnes, Wiltshire, the form has materialised once again in Rushock, Worcestershire.
The image of the mysterious 1990 crop circle was used on the cover of the legendary rock band Led Zeppelin’s Remasters album.
John Bonham’s grave is located at St Michael’s Church on a hilltop, which overlooks the field where the new crop circle has appeared.

The Redditch-born musician, who passed away aged just 32 in 1980, is remembered as one of the greatest drummers in rock history.
Photographers have been capturing shots of the new pictogram, which was discovered on Sunday (July 16) near Cakebole Lane, and have shared their pictures on The Croppie, a website for crop circle enthusiasts.
